Let's start with Mother's new do! What do you think?

The next set of pictures are related to the afternoon theater experience Mother, Granny and I went to at Brentwood College's theater, to watch "Much Ado About Nothing" yesterday [Saturday] afternoon, and then headed back to the house for strawberry shortcake and tea. Granny had a lovely time being taken on a visual tour of the recent additions to the blog - she was quite impressed with the lovely pictures from Western Europe - She was quite amazed on how grown up Sarah and Meaghan looked, and the fun that is being had by all. So here are those pictures:

Then onto other things. this picture was taken
at Maple Bay, from the Government Wharf.

Ken in his element - by the water and taking pictures. The news below relates to why he is on the docks at the Maple Bay public dock!
Then today Ken and I had much fun trying to figure out what Bay to head to, to check out what all the excitment was. We first headed to Cowichan Bay, with no success, then to Genoa Bay, - and although it is an unspoiled spot, we still had no success in targetting our quary - then we ended up at the public dock in Maple Bay to find that Maple Bay has been invaded ---- by two wonderful looking Tall Ships! Enjoy the views [random order - in a few of the pictures you are able to see both tall ships in the bay - I have tried to include a variety of each ship]:

Pictures from Ken's camera now:

This is the Hawaiian Chieftain

This is the Lady Washington, better
known to you Pirates Of the Caribbean
fans as the "H.M.S. Interceptor"
Here she has a deck full of
people.

And some Kayakers, looked to me like they
were just learning, as they seemed to learning
about rolling them over, righting them and
then pumping them out with manual bilge
pumps.
