Baby, it's even colder outside!

That is the theme for this Christmas...Baby, it's cold outside. The temperatures are about 30 degrees colder than the norm.


-37 this morning but no wind. Too cold to go outside so I stayed inside and baked all day!

I've made two batches of "Kibbles N Bits", 2 batches of chocolate bark, St. Nicholas cake, boterkoch, butter tarts and mincemeat custard tarts.

I am still not quite finished. Most of the baking will leave the house since it is gifts for friends.

These next two photos were taken just after 4 p.m. The sun had set (it is the shortest day of the year after all.) I stood at the front door and took the photo and then went to the back door and poked the camera around the screen door to take the other one.

We have tickets to a performance at the Cultural Centre tonight. We will walk (it is only 6 blocks) since we can walk there in less time it takes to warm up the car! We will dress warmly.
