Camp Columbia Visit!

Hey all! This is Shea! Mom is busy doing stuff around the house so she wanted me to come in and put the pictures on the blog for her!

Yesterday we went over to Thetis Island and went to Camp Columbia, and you all know where that is! I'm going there on August 15th, so Mom thought it would be a good idea to see where everything was - I'm still amazed at how great it looks!

This is where we arrived, and we were so excited it was amazing we didn't EXPLODE- especially the twins!

Beautiful road trip there, and then we made it! Finally! We went to the 'Farside' Office first, and got checked in as 'Visitors'.

Here's Ruth, the camp director for the summer. She was here when Mom and Jinny were at Camp Columbia, and she remembers them! She was the one who took over Mom's cabin when Mom broke her arm! Wow, you never know when you'll run into someone you remember from over 30 years ago!

Inside the Heneage!

The view from the balcony on the top of Heneage was breathtaking. So beautiful!
Mom and Jinny on the front step of Heneage.
Mom's old cabin - number 7! We found it and were allowed to go inside because there was no on in it. The campers there at the time were part of a co-ed camp. Mom sat there for five minutes just remembering.

The outdoor church! Mom's favorite place!
WATERFRONT!
The big bell outside Heneage... I'm glad I didn't hear that ring! It would have been loud!
Beautiful Heneage, old building!
Uh-oh, Mom 'broke' her arm again. Déjà vu, Mom?
Going to turn in our visitor badges, sadly. We wanted to stay, but we had a ferry to catch.

Well, there you have it. A full run-through of our short but amazing time at Camp Columbia. I will remember everything for August - Heneage, cabins, Waterfront, the Sports field, the outdoor church, crafts hut, and everything else that I can't name, just remember.

I am so glad that Mom took me there! I am envious of all of you who have stayed there, and I am so excited to be going in August!

GO CAMP COLUMBIA!
