Gong Hay Fat Choy, or Kung Hei Fat Choi - we've seen 5 or 6 different spellings - it's a phonetic phrase, so I guess anything goes! We've had a wonderful holiday here - being tourists in our own town! We visited the huge Victoria Park for their market - seriously tons of people - it used to be a flower market primarily, but the government allowed university students to set up stalls - and it's now a mixture of the old and traditional flowers (orchids, wishing trees (cherry blossom) and gaudy 'fair' trinkets. We went early, but were still in a crowd of thousands...
We took the girls to Ocean Park - 5 minutes away - first time we've had the chance to go and spent 6 great hours there - the weather was terrific and cool. The highlight of our holiday was seeing Val, Charlotte and Bronson for four days - they arrived late on the Friday night here, and left afternoon Tuesday. Every minute we spent touring around, seeing the sights, and eating great food (including market street stall food!). I think they had a great time, and it was great to catch up on news from home!
Well, back at school now - counting down to Easter holidays... enjoy the pics!
