They don't call it the Frozen North for nothing!

Once reason that Mummy and Daddy braved the cold of a Fort St. John winter was to see the ice sculptures in person. We visited at least once a day (Thursday to Sunday) to see the progress. I took hundreds of photos--gotta love digital cameras!--and this is just a selection. If you would like to see more, let me know.

Two different sleigh rides--cold bottoms on both!

Carved from ice "harvested"from a lagoon in Baldonnel. It was so clear that you could read a newspaper through it.
Carved by Russian team - theme: 150 years of transportation in the north.

This ice slide was created before Christmas, appropriately located in the water splash park.
Rowan and Shea slid down it at Christmas time.
More ice sculptures to come!
