What fun! On June 5th, Bob and I were invited to go to Happy Valley Racecourse here in HK, and visit with a family whose children used to attend CDNIS. We went with Dave McMaster, our Head of School and John Jalsevac the Principal of the Upper School. The Chow family had two horses racing that night - we were treated like royalty, had a wonderful meal, got a chance to meet the trainer and jockeys, see the horses up close, yell as they charged past us at course level, and learn how to 'bet on the ponies'!
This racecourse will be the site of the 2008 Olympic Equestrian events - very posh, and very good chinese food!
